Curves & Elvis

Bet you haven’t been sung to at your Curves or gym!

That’s the owner doing what she loves to do in her off time, Elvis Karaoke!
When I walked through the door I almost turned around and walked out but she say
me and I had to go in then and work out. It was so loud! She only did it for 3
songs then took a break for 15 minutes before the next show. This photo is a
little out of focus as she moved fast and I laughed to much for the
others so I won’t post them.

Life sure can get strange some days, earthquake yesterday (7/29), Elvis today, can’t
wait for tomorrow!

The calendar represents black-and-white Don Newman images of Memphis that have a direct connection to the life of Elvis.

  • WHBQ

Site of Hotel Chisca, where WHBQ was broadcast. The legendary deejay Dewey Phillips — Daddy-O-Dewey — first played “That’s All Right” from the station and rushed Elvis in for a live interviw July 8, 1954, because of the overwhelming phone response to the song.
